Pleased with quality and even tho it had to be assembled the parts and instructions were really accurate and marked however at first glance was a bit overwhelming. Just go step by step and final product is just what I had hoped for beautiful and solid ! It has all the quality and beauty that other filing cabinets cost more than twice the price so it was by far a great investment and it was delivered right to my door within a couple days
I am Happy!!!

after assembling the cabinet tried to put the drawers in and it was very hard to get them to side in.......it was as if the sliders weren't align....it was almost like it wasn't meant to close the drawers. they don't slide smooth either. guess we have to make some adjustments someplace.

I purchased (2) Realspace� Premium Wood File Cabinets, 4 Drawer, 55 2/5"H x 21"W x 18 9/10"D, Oak (000444525) units only 10 days apart. While they were both ?labeled? as the exact same models ordered the units were far from identical. The first file cabinet arrived promptly and perfectly matched our oak office flooring, was well built and assembled relatively easily. My wife was so thrilled with the first file cabinet that she wanted another one to match. The second unit (exact same model) was ordered and arrived on time but during assembly it became clear that this unit was inferior to the first. Once assembled it was obvious that cost cutting on materials and workmanship by the manufacturer has affected the build of this product. See below for a list of issues and photos attached.
1. After assembled it became obvious the second units color doesn?t match the first one when placing them side by side
2. Alternate material & color was used for drawer sides and bottom panels on second unit
3. Alternate material & color was used for file cabinet back panel on the second unit
4. Previous sturdy chrome slide rails on the drawers were replaced with cheaper flimsy black rails
5. Previous anchor inserts were replaced with drilled holes and wood screw type anchors
6. Upper-right-side of wood facing strip was separated from side panel (had to clamp & re-glue)
7. Front-left corner of cabinet top veneer was chipped off (had to re-glue to repair this)
8. While sliding two of the drawers in the bearings fell out of the slide rails (had to repair both)
9. 4 of 8 metal bar file holders were too long for the groves cut to fit them (hack-sawed to shorten)
After completing the assembly on the second unit and seeing all of the inadequacies in color and poor quality of production and materials my wife wanted to just return it for a refund. Then after reading the return policy for Office Depot furniture (disassembly, re-packaging and customer shipping costs) we have grudgingly decided to keep the second unit, however I will certainly not be recommending this product to anyone else. My hope is that this review will encourage Office Depot to keep a closer eye on their product line so that the next customer doesn?t experience similar regret, dissatisfaction and disappointment.

We bought this filing cabinet and it arrived in a timely manner. My wife and I put it together. It took us a couple of hours but are very happy with the purchase. It looks very nice. I had read the other reviews and bought glue before it arrived. We didn't need a lot of extra glue, but had the extra glue so we used more than we needed to use just to be safe. The pictures really help to put it together. We really like the final product and have not had any problems at all.
